Last Friday night marked the beginning of The 10th Annual Lonestar Rod & Kustom Round Up. My friends Mr. Fabulous and UnScurvyGirl organized dinner at South Congress's Hopdoddy so we'd be in a prime location to take in the hot rod sights. After burgers (try the Greek- mmm!), fries, and craft beers, we set out on what turned into an impromptu pub crawl along Austin's famed SoCo district.
Mr. Fabulous served as photographer and I put together a slideshow of some of our adventures. This is only a sampling of the 70+ photos from the evening, and much to my dismay we didn't catch my favorite moment on film- when one member of our group dove into the Hotel San Jose pool. (In case you're wondering: no, it wasn't me.)
Now, you might be asking yourself what any of this has to do with fortunes (or not-a-fortunes). After Hopdoddy and Hotel San Jose but before our last stop at Guero's (did I mention it ended up being a pub crawl?), we popped into Snack Bar where we each ended up with bottles of beer, four of which had nifty little sayings under their caps.
The top of the caps
"Feels like a Chinook."
"Ale-o. How RU?"
"Peace, love, beer"
It was a great time.
