I've been busy. I have some material saved up and will write a longer post in the coming days but look what I found as I went to check my mail today...

Did you ever see the Sex & the City where Berger* tells Carrie that he collects found playing cards? He tells her they're all over the city; she tells him she's never noticed; he tells her she will now. I wonder if fortune cookie inserts are like that- tiny slips of paper floating on air, resting on the ground, waiting to be found.
*Berger & Carrie sidebar: that little post-it note he left her was its own not-a-fortune, wasn't it?
