It's been a while since I've posted a Friday round-up but it's a beautiful day in Austin, Texas, and I'm sitting outside with a few minutes to spare.
(evidence of a beautiful day in the ATX)
Hester and I had lunch today and, though we didn't get fortune cookies, she and her daughter recently ate at Pei Wei, where they received these cookie inserts:
Hester's not-a-fortune: "Adventure can be a real happiness."
[This not-a-fortune may have come true, given the joy on her face as she relayed her experience getting her first speeding ticket in her Shelby Mustang GT 500 today :)]
'Zilla's actual fortune: "Your eyes will soon be opened to a world full of beauty, charm, and adventure."
[Nice!]
A few of my tweeps have shared inserts with me lately.
The always popular lefty from Iowa shared this not-a-fortune with me, which he notes "appears to be Bush's presidential mantra" (have I mentioned how much I love him?):
"Act as if it were impossible to fail."
A new tweep found via Erin tweeted this gem:
"You will find hidden treasures where you least expected."

My girl Single Blonde's brother sent me this "worst fortune ever":
"Follow the middle path. Neither extreme will make you happy."
But is it a fortune or a not-a-fortune?
Boogie Roc tweeted me this actual fortune:
"Your many hidden talents will become obvious to those around you."
[Boogie Roc and I go way back. He does have many talents. This is one fortune I'd love to see come true.]
I'll end today's round-up with a strange find sent to me by CleverTitleTK:
Now that's a half-a-fortune if I've ever seen one!
HAPPY FRIDAY!
