Fortune or Not-a-Fortune? Some Examples

Since I started writing this blog not too long ago, friends and family have taken it upon themselves to email and text me with the contents of their own cookie inserts, both fortunes and not. Here are some of their contributions:

Fortunes:
"Endurance and persistance will be rewarded."
"Your dearest wish will come true."

Not-a-fortunes:
"A smile is your personal welcome mat."
"Delay is the antidote for anger."
"Excitement and intrigue follow you closely wherever you go!"

Thank you for sharing your fortunes and not-a-fortunes with me; please continue to do so (but know you may see them here).

  1. I beg to differ. If you can add "in bed" to the end and it sounds good, then it's definitely a fortune.

Ex. "Excitement and intrigue follow you closely wherever you go, in bed!"

  2. I have some things to say about my fortunes posted here with the addition of "in bed." BUT, I don't think they are appropriate so I will just say that I thought you were going to complain about getting them and I was feeling badly. Good to see that you are welcoming them.
